IPC has been held biennially in Calgary, AB, Canada since 1996. From 2006 – 2020 the event was co-organized by the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association (CEPA) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) through the International Pipeline Conference Foundation (IPCF). In 2022 the IPC has returned to ASME organization. CEPA will remain a supporter of the event.
For the first time ever due to worldwide health concerns IPC 2020 was held fully online in a virtual format. The conference returned to Calgary in 2022 and will remain on site in Calgary going forward.
